All About Large & Medium Nightlights

Each large and medium nightlight is made using an upcycled 4 ounce baby food jar. Large nightlights use Beechnut tapered jars and the medium mushrooms use Gerber traditional straight sided jars. Each jar is retrofitted with an opening on the bottom by using a diamond tipped bit to cut a hole fit for an LED tea light. Once the jars are cleaned and cut, they are ready for creation! Jars are wrapped in polymer clay and all the details are lovingly and meticulously hand sculpted without the use of molds or texture plates. The sculpting process is a labor of love and typically takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. Once the sculpting is complete the little mushy friends are baked to cure the polymer clay. Once cooled, lights are secured in place with a silicone adhesive to assure maximum amount of durability. This also allows for easy access to the light's switch as well as the battery compartment in the event that the battery ever needs to be replaced. The tea lights are a warm flickering glow to inspire the feeling of a crackling fire.
